Neolithic Bar

Commissioned by exclusive whisky marque Royal Salute and designed by international award-winning British architect and furniture designer Sally Mackereth, the bar – named Neolithic – was built with ancient petrified oak sourced from the River Sava in Croatia. The precision design is made up of 106 separate segments, each cut to a 3.6º angle and colour sorted so the lighter, younger wood fades into the darker, older wood. The finished piece was debuted at Wallpaper* magazine’s Handmade exhibition at Salone del Mobile and is now touring worldwide at Royal Salute sponsored international polo tournaments. Read more about it at Wallpaper* magazine.
