Installations Manager
Position Title: Installations Manager
Reports to: Operations Director
Location: Predominantly site-based across the UK (regular national travel required)
Salary and benefits: From £45,000 per annum (DOE) + BUPA cash plan, bonus holiday scheme, company loyalty rewards
The Role: This is a site-first, hands-on Installations Manager role responsible for leading Jack Badger’s bespoke joinery installations on live construction sites nationwide.
The role requires strong people skills, clear communication, and disciplined reporting, alongside excellent technical joinery knowledge. While planning and coordination form part of the role, success is driven by visible site leadership, client confidence, and accurate communication, not workshop- or office-based management.
This role will suit someone who actively wants the site lifestyle and is confident representing Jack Badger professionally on site.
Vision, Values & Mission:
At Jack Badger, we’re building a workplace we’re proud of, defined by exceptional craftsmanship and a shared commitment to excellence. This vision demands dedication, hard work, and a united team effort. From our roots in traditional joinery, we draw inspiration from the resilience of our predecessors, who created timeless work under challenging conditions. That legacy drives us to push boundaries in every project we undertake.
We stand out not just for the quality of our joinery, but for the passionate, skilled individuals who make up our entire team. From our craftsmen to the specialists working in other departments, we’re a group united by a pursuit of quality and pride in what we do.
We’re looking for people who share our values—trust, collaboration, enthusiasm, respect, and an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship—to join us in achieving our goals.

Communication, Literacy & Organisation (Essential)

• Organised, methodical approach to record-keeping
• Comfortable using digital tools for reporting and documentation

Role Expectations and Fit
This role is not suitable for candidates seeking:
• Fully workshop-based or office-led management roles
• Reduced site exposure
• A complete move away from hands-on installation work
We will endeavour to balance the need for extended travel with hands-on site work within a more reasonable radius of the workshop. However, it will still be necessary to visit all sites at various stages of a project, including initial set-up, progress checks, meetings, and final follow-ups. These sites may be located anywhere.
While some meetings may be held virtually where appropriate, the role requires the ability and willingness to travel to site whenever the needs of the project or the business require an in-person presence.
As the team develops, the proportion of workshop- and office-based work may increase. That said, we do not anticipate a complete move away from hands-on involvement, and the ability to step in practically when required will remain essential. For this reason, the role requires someone with a strong practical background and a thorough understanding of fitting.
