Position title: Site Fitter
Reports to: Operations Director
Location: Nationwide site based fitting, but access to the workshop based in Glossop, Derbyshire

The role: Precision fitting of our traditional architectural joinery products, such as doors, floors, panelling, and kitchens, etc. on behalf of Jack Badger Ltd.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Fitting bespoke joinery items, such as internal/external doors, panelling, and architectural features ensuring precise alignment and secure fixing.
- Measure and mark out installation areas accurately survey datums.
- Interpreting installation drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Coordinating with other on site trades like electricians and plumbers, as well as the site manager or home owner.
- Contributing to the development of fitting techniques and procedures by sharing insights and participating in process improvements.
- Ensuring timely completion of tasks, meeting project deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Supporting quality control by inspecting work at various stages to ensure it meets Jack Badger’s high standards.
- Engaging in continuous learning to master new techniques and adapt to modern technological advancements.
- Ensure all site work complies with UK health and safety regulations, including risk assessments, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe handling of tools and materials.
- Maintain and clean work areas, tools, and equipment post-installation to uphold site standards and company quality expectations.
- Liaise with site managers, clients, and colleagues to report progress, resolve issues, and incorporate feedback during the fitting process.

Additional Information
- A full driving license. Fitting will be from a Jack Badger van.
- Home base to be within commuting distance from the workshop, as the role will require frequent travel to and from Old Glossop.
- Site kit is available but we’d also expect someone to have a comprehensive set of their own tools.
