Reports to: Installations Manager / Operations Director
Location: UK-wide site work

The Role:
This role is for a high-quality, experienced site fitter who enjoys the site lifestyle and wants to progress into site leadership over time.
In addition to strong technical skills, the role requires clear communication, basic reporting, and professional client interaction, with structured development toward an Installations Manager position.

Key Responsibilities
Joinery Installation
• Install bespoke joinery to Jack Badger’s quality standards
• Measure, set out, and install accurately to drawings and site datums
• Coordinate with other trades and site management
Communication & Professional Conduct
• Communicate clearly with site managers, clients, and colleagues
• Represent Jack Badger professionally on site
• Raise issues early and clearly
• Work collaboratively as part of the installation team
Reporting & Development
• Provide clear verbal and written updates on progress and issues
• Complete basic site records, photographs, and handover notes
• Learn and follow Jack Badger’s reporting and documentation standards
• Develop leadership and communication skills over time
Progression Pathway
• Skilled Site Fitter / Lead Fitter
• Senior Site Fitter with supervisory responsibility
• Assistant Installations Manager
• Installations Manager (subject to performance)
Essential Skills & Attributes
• Strong, recent site-based joinery installation experience
• Comfortable working away from home
• Pride in quality and craftsmanship
• Clear verbal communication and good written literacy
• Willingness to engage with reporting and documentation
• Professional, respectful, and solutions-focused approach
Additional Information:
• A full driving license. Fitting will be from a Jack Badger van.
• Home base to be within commuting distance from the workshop, as the role will require frequent travel to and from Old Glossop.
• Site kit is available but we’d also expect someone to have a comprehensive set of their own tools.
